Simcyp Simulator is a population-based, mechanistic modeling and simulation platform for physiologically based pharmacokinetics (PBPK) and pharmacodynamics (PD), developed by Certara’s Simcyp division. It integrates in vitro and preclinical data to predict in vivo exposure, variability, and drug–drug interactions across virtual populations, including pediatrics, pregnancy, geriatrics, and patients with renal or hepatic impairment. The platform supports both small molecules and biologics, multiple routes of administration, and mechanistic absorption models (e.g., ADAM), as well as enzyme- and transporter-mediated processes. Common applications include first‑in‑human dose prediction, DDI risk assessment, formulation and biopharmaceutics evaluations, and clinical trial design. Widely used in model‑informed drug development, Simcyp Simulator helps inform regulatory strategies and decision‑making throughout the development lifecycle.
